These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://vancouvercabinetpaintingpro.ca/ and the cabinet painting and refinishing services provided by Vancouver Cabinet Painting Pro (“we”, “us”, or “our”) in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, Canada.
By using this website, submitting a quote request, or booking our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or request services.
These Terms are intended for customers in Canada. Our services are offered in British Columbia.
About our services
We provide professional kitchen cabinet painting, cabinet refinishing, bathroom vanity refinishing, closet door painting (where agreed), and related finishing services. Specific scope, pricing, timeline, and inclusions are confirmed in your written estimate or booking confirmation.
Website pricing ranges are estimates only and may vary based on cabinet condition, quantity, access, colour choice, repairs, hardware changes, and other project factors.
Quotes and estimates
• Quotes requested through our website are non-binding until we confirm scope and pricing in writing.
• We may need photos, measurements, or an on-site assessment before providing a final quote.
• Quoted prices are generally in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
• A quote may expire after a stated period, or after 30 days if no expiry is specified.
Booking, deposits, and payment
• A project is booked only after both parties agree on scope and we confirm the booking.
• We may require a deposit before scheduling or starting work. The remaining balance is due as stated in your invoice or confirmation.
• Accepted payment methods will be communicated at booking or on the invoice.
• Late payment may delay completion, reinstallation, or warranty activation.
What is typically included / not included
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, our standard cabinet painting service may include:
• Painting of removable cabinet doors (both sides)
• Painting of cabinet exteriors and visible surfaces
• Board lines where the old colour remains visible
• Glass cabinet interiors where applicable
• One paint colour
• Installation of rubber bumpers on doors
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following are typically not included:
• Interior cabinet boxes
• Structural repairs beyond normal prep and patching for painting
• Replacement of damaged cabinets or doors
• New hardware, unless separately quoted
• Handle installation that requires new hole spacing, unless separately quoted
• Plumbing, electrical, countertop, or appliance work
• Painting of walls, ceilings, trim, or floors
We use premium coatings for most projects, commonly Benjamin Moore Cabinet Coat or an equivalent professional product suitable for the job. Final product selection may depend on substrate and site conditions.
Customer responsibilities
You agree to:
• Provide accurate project information and reasonable access to the work area
• Clear cabinets of contents where needed before work begins
• Secure pets and protect personal belongings in the work area
• Disclose known issues such as water damage, previous coatings, MDF damage, or repairs
• Make timely decisions on colour and scope changes
Delays caused by inaccessible work areas, incomplete preparation, or late approvals may affect schedule and price.
Project timeline
Estimated timelines on the website (for example, 3–5 days) are typical ranges, not guarantees. Actual timing depends on kitchen size, drying conditions, weather, access, repairs, and workload. We will communicate material schedule changes when reasonably possible.
Colour, finish, and site conditions
• Colour approval is your responsibility before spraying or coating begins.
• Slight variation can occur due to lighting, substrate, previous finishes, and application method.
• Removable doors are typically sprayed off-site; non-removable frames may be finished on-site.
• Pre-existing damage, water-damaged MDF, swollen substrates, or defective cabinetry may remain visible after refinishing. We will take reasonable care, but we cannot make damaged materials look brand new in every case.
Changes and cancellations
• Scope changes requested after booking may require an updated quote and revised timeline.
• If you cancel after booking, we may retain a reasonable portion of any deposit to cover preparation, materials, scheduling loss, or work already performed.
• If we must cancel or reschedule due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will notify you and arrange an alternative date or refund unused prepaid amounts as applicable.
Warranty
Where offered, our paint workmanship warranty is typically 3 years from completion for the coated surfaces included in the original scope, subject to normal residential use and proper care.
The warranty does not cover:
• Damage from misuse, impact, abrasion, moisture intrusion, floods, or improper cleaning
• Wear to hinges, soft-close mechanisms, or hardware not supplied/finished by us
• Pre-existing substrate failure, water-damaged MDF, or structural cabinet defects
• Colour differences caused by later renovations, lighting changes, or third-party work
• Work altered, repaired, or recoated by someone other than us
Warranty claims require reasonable notice and access for inspection. Remedy, at our option, may include repair or refinishing of the affected area.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in British Columbia and Canada:
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability related to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project
• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law
